The fuel tank of the generator is generally fixed, and the stress condition is relatively loose,
mainly due to the pressure of the fuel (the height of the fuel being filled).
Generator oil tanks are generally stamped and welded from steel plates.
In order to prevent the liquid inside the fuel tank from being violently impacted to form foam, in addition to anti-rust treatment,
the inner surface of the fuel tank is also partitioned into more space.
The fuel tank of the generator set has a considerable impact on the generator.
If the welding quality is not good enough, it is easy to cause false welding or blisters in the welding part of the fuel tank.
The material used is generally low-carbon alloy steel or low-carbon steel, and its shape may be an elliptical cylinder.

Generally, the welding process of generator oil tank includes:

1. Compilation basis and welding process essentials;
2. Select manual arc welding, DC reverse polarity connection;
3. Select welding rod (according to the matching requirements of base material, select and confirm);
4. If the steel is thicker, bevel it. In order to improve working conditions, try to arrange welders to work outside the fuel tank;
5. Preheat before welding, fully clean the weld and heat-affected zone, and slowly cool after welding;
6. If the oil tank is relatively long and there are reinforcing ribs in the pipe, the welders are arranged to weld symmetrically,
which is conducive to maintaining the line shape;
7. After the external welding seam is welded, the inner welding seam of the pipe is welded with carbon arc gas gouging out;
8. Correct the deformation of the tank body to reach the standard;
All butt welds (including hand hole and manhole flange welds) shall be inspected for leakage and passed;
9. When welding inside the pipe for safe construction, there must be good ventilation and lighting measures.
